It's State Fair Time and Volunteers are Needed

The Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) is looking for volunteers to educate fair-goers about it, solar energy and how they can connect to and store the sun. If you are passionate about renewable energy, love talking with people and are interested in learning more about solar and MRES, the organization would love your help at the State Fair in the Eco Experience Building, jndoor and outdoor area, Aug. 24 to Sept. 4.

MRES has some new exhibits that will get visitors talking. Indoors, it's all about ways folks can connect to the sun: Getting Ready for Solar, What's in Sunlight, Rooftop Solar, Community Solar Gardens, Portable Solar (including a drone!) and Join MRES. We'll be showcasing the Red Devil Rescue, a shining example from our 2017 Solar Boat Regatta. Outdoors, the focus is Solar Storage, including the MRES Solar Trailer, a new and improved Solar Water Fountain and Climate Change Bingo.
