Minnesota Ag Connection - 04/14/2021

Each year the Northern Plains Potato Growers Association (NPPGA) offers four college scholarships to the sons, daughters, grandsons, or granddaughters of NPPGA grower members and Potato Associates.

There are two $1,500 NPPGA Research & Education Foundation Scholarships and two $1,000 Potato Bowl USA Ambassador Scholarships.

These college scholarship opportunities are offered to individuals who meet the following requirements:

1. Parent or grandparent must be either an NPPGA member grower or a NPPGA Potato Associate member.

2. Applicant must be graduating from high school this spring or already attending college.

3. Applicant must have at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average.

4. For the Potato Bowl USA Ambassador Scholarship, there is an additional requirement. The selected scholarship applicants chosen must be available to participate in a few Potato Bowl events Sept. 14-18. Do not apply for this scholarship if you cannot meet this requirement.

If the above criteria can be met, please complete an application when applying for either or both of the scholarships. A committee will be selected to review and evaluate applications and make the final selections.

Applications must be received in the NPPGA office no later than May 3.

Contact NPPGA at 218-773-3633 or email dpeycke@nppga.org if you have any questions. The mailing address is: NPPGA, PO Box 301, East Grand Forks, MN 56721.
