Regenerative livestock symposium - revolutionizing agriculture
Minnesota Ag Connection - 03/18/2024

On Friday, April 5, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Regenerative Livestock Systems Symposium will offer a unique opportunity to delve into the transformative power of livestock management.

This event is tailored for those curious about the synergy between livestock and the environment — specifically, how this relationship can mitigate climate change, improve soil health, revive biodiversity, and bolster ecosystems.

Set to take place at the Department of Animal Sciences, the symposium will serve as a convergence point for farmers, educators, researchers, and agricultural professionals.

It aims to ignite discussions on research and management techniques that utilize livestock to rejuvenate agroecosystems, bridging academic knowledge with practical farming experiences.

This symposium is not just an event; it's a movement towards integrating science and practice in the realm of agroecological livestock management. Participants can look forward to enriching networking opportunities, fostering collaboration between the academic and farming communities.

Key deadlines for interested parties include the registration by March 24 to qualify for a complimentary lunch, and the final registration deadline on March 31.

The symposium is a collective effort, organized by the Sustainable Animal Ag study group and supported by the CFANS Graduate Student board, North Central Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE), Grazing Lands Conservation Association (NRCS-USDA), the Land Stewardship Project, Green Lands Blue Waters, and the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance.

This event promises to be a cornerstone for those at the forefront of pioneering sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices, offering a platform for sharing insights, exploring new ideas, and shaping the future of agriculture.
