The latest report from the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) has positioned Renville County at the forefront of corn production in Minnesota, with a staggering 54.6 million bushels harvested.

Following closely are Redwood, Jackson, Swift, and Nobles Counties, each contributing significantly to the state's corn output. In total, eleven counties surpassed the impressive benchmark of 35 million bushels produced.

Not to be overshadowed, Watonwan County leads the state in corn yield efficiency, averaging 209.3 bushels per acre. Renville, Jackson, Kandiyohi, and Cottonwood Counties complete the top five in this category, demonstrating exceptional agricultural productivity.

Remarkably, six counties have crossed the threshold of 200 bushels per acre in 2023, underscoring the high caliber of Minnesota's corn cultivation practices.

Yield calculations are based on the total production divided by the harvested area, with these rankings considering only the published estimates.

This methodology ensures an accurate reflection of the agricultural landscape, highlighting the counties that have truly excelled in both quantity and efficiency of corn production.

These findings not only celebrate the achievements of Minnesota's farming communities but also spotlight the counties leading the charge in agricultural excellence.

As the state continues to contribute significantly to the nation's corn supply, these rankings underscore the importance of continued innovation and efficiency in crop production.
