Sign Up Now to be Minnesota Grown Member
Minnesota Ag Connection - 12/14/2018

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture's Minnesota Grown program is now accepting new members. Qualifying members include farms, farmers markets, and food businesses that raise agricultural products in Minnesota. The program helps businesses and markets connect with audiences through the Direct-to-Consumer and Wholesale directories. New members are encouraged to join online by Dec. 31 if they wish to be listed in the 2019 Minnesota Grown Directory.

"A Minnesota Grown membership has many benefits," said Member Services Coordinator Karen Lanthier. "All members can use the Minnesota Grown logo and have access to resources like our labeling Cost Share Program and free marketing materials. We also feature members daily on our website and social media."

A Minnesota Grown logo membership costs $20 per year and gives members the right to use the logo, access to free marketing materials, and the opportunity to be listed in the Wholesale Directory.

For an additional $40 per year, members are listed in the printed and online versions of the Minnesota Grown Directory. Approximately 150,000 printed directories are distributed statewide each year, and the online version of the directory receives more than 375,000 unique views annually.

Dean and Jayne Bredlau run My Sweet Greens MN, a small urban farm in Zumbrota growing microgreens. "Minnesota Grown has been an integral part of our budget planning this year," says Jayne Bredlau. "We've worked hard to establish our brand, and people are now starting to recognize our logo thanks to our new labeling and signage. The Cost Share Program has been a Godsend for creating those, and we're looking forward to having our farm listed in the directory this year."
