Agricultural consultants: Make your continuing education more efficient by attending the American Society of Agricultural Consultants (ASAC) Annual Conference, Nov. 7-10, at the Hilton Garden Inn Nashville Downtown, Nashville, Tenn., and then take ASAC 410 – Agricultural Consulting Practice Management – on Nov. 10. The course is open to all types of consultants, though examples offered will focus on agriculture. ASAC 410 participants will earn eight continuing education units, provided by ASAC.

“Whether you are a start-up consultant or have been in business for years and want to improve the management of your consulting practice, this course is for you,” says ASAC President Ethan Robertson. “ASAC‘s intense, one-day course will provide education to help consultants foster business growth, profitability and success.”

The ASAC Annual Conference features Temple Grandin of Colorado State University, a world-renowned animal welfare and livestock handling expert. Plus, “Farm Babe” Michelle Miller, an internationally recognized speaker, writer and columnist, will serve as the keynote speaker.

The Agricultural Consulting Practice Management course features five main components: Managing the professional consulting service firm, Business plan development, Market analysis and marketing, Practice management tools and Post-course roundtable discussion. Course participants will gain insights on business planning, pricing, billing, determining your market, market penetration, selling your services, business analysis and business monitoring.
